Preservation & Emergency Preparedness
The Archives provides information and advice to agencies and members of the public who want to make sure records are accessible in the future. Records Officers have the responsibility under UCA 63A-12-103 to work with the State Archives in the "care, maintenance, scheduling, disposal, classification, designation, access, and preservation of records." Special attention must be paid to records on tape, color film, and other formats that do not last long without proactive care.
