Letter to Governor Wells in which Mr. Doremus, "one among those who in times past earnestly
but honestly differed with the majority," claims to "love Utah with all my heart and feel that the
integrity and patriotism of her native sons and daughters will yet make her the most honored
member of the great sisterhood of states" (Utah State Archives and Records Service).
