Scope and Content
Judgment record and summarized information about individual civil cases, an abstracted reference source documenting the final judgment of the court in civil cases, includes: the district court title, date when the judgment was rendered, the filing of any abstract of judgment, date of execution, who performed the execution, satisfied and unsatisfied executions, which party won the case, amount of the final award, names of parties involved and the successful plaintiff or defendant. Overlaps in dates occur since the court clerk recorded names before final judgment.

Minute books from the District Court (Fourth District), Series 5062, contain the court minutes of the cases in this series.
Judgment dockets from the District Court (Second District : Weber County), Series 5333, assign the case number and date filed allowing access to most other court series and also supply the book and page number for the corresponding judgment record.
Civil case files from the District Court (Second District : Weber County), Series 6659, contain the entire case file mentioned in the judgments.
Abstracts of judgments from the District Court (Second District : Weber County), Series 10214, include information on those cases which, due to unsatisfied judgments, result in liens, garnishments, and further action by the court.
The judgment books were maintained for the court by the Weber County Clerk.

This is a continuing series with the bulk of the series transferred to the Utah State Archives June 25, 1963. Judgment records since 1982 have had a permanent retention. This series was processed in 1994 by Kenneth R. Williams. Microfilming was completed previously in August of 1967.
