This series is composed of income statements, audit reports, bank account books, and license books maintained by the Racing Commission during its two year existence.

Scope and Content

This series is composed of income statements, audit reports, bank account books, and license books maintained by the Racing Commission during its two year existence. There are also audits of the Utah Agricultural and Racing Association (UARA). The audits of the Racing Commission were performed by the State Auditor and independent accounting firms. The UARA audits were done by independent firms as well. The series details profits made from licensing fees, ticket sales, and pari- mutual betting. Two ledger books record the licenses granted to jockies, trainers, and horse owners from Canada, Mexico, and thirty-one states in the U.S.

More audit reports added to folder 7 on October 2011 by Rebekkah Shaw. While processing series 1664 records belonging to this series were found (grommets were removed, so these additions are lose pages) and added to folder 7 of this series.
