Washington City (Utah) Codified ordinances revised, 1977,1989.

This series contains the Code of Revised Ordinances of Washington City as prepared by A.M. Ferro and Michael T. McCoy, members of the Utah State Bar. The code was copyrighted by the Utah League of Cities and Towns in 1975 and published in 1977. The code contains all of the ordinances passed by Washington up to that point, and is revised to the most recent iteration of those ordinances. The ordinances have then been organized by subject and categorized under subject headings like, "General Provisions," "Municipal Improvements and Public Service PRojects," "Licensing, Control, and Regulation of Business and Construction," and "Transportation, Streets, and Public Ways." These ordinances amount to the laws of Washington City governing everything from health and public safety, to the definition of city property. Also included in the code are ordinances related to planning and zoning, "Offenses Against Public Health, Safety, Welfare, and Morals." The code contains citations to relevant state laws that supercede or supplement city ordinances.
