Scope and Content

These are the minutes of meetings of the Alta Town Council. The Town of Alta was incorporated on August 20, 1970. Alta is governed by a mayor and four-member town council. Meeting minutes generally are taken by the town clerk. After approval, they are the official record of business. The minutes summarize discussions at council meetings and document all actions and decisions of the council. Recurring issues and other topics of discussion before the Alta Town Council include budget, taxes, watershed, annexations, ordinances, resolutions, dogs, lawsuits, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, sewer, water, and antimony. Since November 2007, meeting minutes have been posted on the town web site (http://www.townofalta.com/gov_planning_agendas.shtml).
