Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains a ledger used to record receipts and disbursements for the town. The entries are arranged by year with a list of receipts followed by expenditures. Receipts typically include such entries as payments for utilities, tax revenue, licensing fees and payments to the cemetery. Disbursements entries include utility charges, employee wages, and a variety of other town expenses. Information in the ledgers includes the date of the receipt or expenditure, the individual or entity involved, and the amount of money received or paid.
