Summary of Records
Scope and Content
The Utah State Historical Society newsletters were sent bi-monthly to members of the Society and contained Society and Division of State History news and notices of history happenings around the state. In 1995, the newsletter name was changed to from "Utah State Historical Society Newsletter" to "Currents." Then, in 2003, the newsletter became a quarterly, tabloid-sized publication containing news and short articles on Utah history topics. The Division ended publication in 2007.
Highlights include the acquisition and renovation of the Denver & Rio Grande Depot for State History's location in 1981, profiles of staff, volunteers, directors and members of the State History Board, information on the Annual Meeting and articles on major archeological and historical significance in Utah, such as the Statehood Centennial in 1996.
