Come Celebrate with the Utah State Archives!
The Utah State Archives extends a warm invitation to local and state employees as well as the general public to join in the celebration of the new State Records Center at a ribbon cutting ceremony to be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 1:30pm. The ribbon cutting ceremony will include remarks given by distinguished guests Kim Hood, Department of Administrative Services, Gregg Buxton, Division of Facilities and Construction Management, Wayne Christensen, Division of Facilities and Construction Management, and Patricia Smith-Mansfield, Division of Utah State Archives and Records Services. The event is a unique opportunity to hear from individuals who were key in the securing and renovation of the new facility. An open house, including guided tours of the new facility will follow the ribbon cutting ceremony until 3:40pm.
The new State Records Center is located at 5th Street and C Street, Building C-6, Clearfield, UT. From I-15 travel west on Antelope Drive until 3rd Street. Turn north onto 3rd street and then east onto C Street.
Please join us for this historical event marking the move of the Records Center and 115,440 boxes of records from West Valley, UT to the Freeport Center in Clearfield, UT!
