Grant funding available from the Utah State Historical Records Advisory Board
Do you work in a museum, historical society, library special collections, university or other non-profit with documentary collections of historical and enduring value? Are you a state or local governmental entity responsible for the care and custody of permanent records?
The Utah State Historical Records Advisory Board (USHRAB) has funding available for government (excluding Federal), public, and private non-profit institutions that care for archival collections. Grants of up to $7,500 are available for projects designed to increase access to and preservation of historical records. Grants require a one-to-one in-kind and/or cash match and must contain a public access component. Projects are selected by the Board on a competitive basis. Applications are required and must be received by April 27, 2020. We highly encourage applicants to take advantage of an optional draft deadline of April 3. Guidelines, applications, and additional forms are available at: https://archives.utah.gov/USHRAB/grants.html
Grant funds are intended for short-term projects that must be completed by June 26, 2021. Examples of past projects include:
- Digitization and preservation of the Lehi Free Press, 1932-1977 by the Lehi Historical Society and Archives (2018)
