Microform Storage

Master Microform Storage

In order to protect microfilmed records with permanent retention requirements, the Archives stores its master film in a vault  that meets ANSI and AIIM standards for appropriate temperature, humidity, air circulation, and security.

Requesting Copies of Microforms

In order to request records, an agency or local government contacts Archives and provides the accession number of the roll of microfilm needed. The accession number is on the microfilm box label. If an agency does not have the accession number, it may provide the camera and roll numbers as an alternative.
