Custody History

After concluding its business, the Weber County Centennial Committee transferred its administrative records to the state Centennial Commission. The Centennial Commission subsequently deposited its accumulated records with the Utah Historical Society, which in 1949 was designated by Governor J. Bracken Lee as the official repository for the records of the commission. The newly independent Utah State Archives retained custody of the records following its removal from the Historical Society in 1969.

Acquisition Information

These records were acquired from the creating agency through established retention schedules.

Processing Information

An unidentified photograph of a flat, barren landscape with a hill rising in the background, mounted on cardboard, found with these records has been transferred to the Utah Division of State History. Archival processing of these records was completed in August 1998 by W. Glen Fairclough, Jr. Microfilming of these records for reference use was completed in June 2004.
