The central register is a statewide register from the Division of Child and Family Services for child abuse and neglect reports. The register is utilized to collect and organize data on child abuse and neglect in order for staff to have better idea on which to understand the problem, plan and evaluate programs, allocate staffing, provide information to aid investigations and treatment, and to disseminate information to the media and general public.
