This series contains reports documenting the activities, production, and accomplishments of this project of the Division of Family Services, Department of Social Services.

Scope and Content

Increasing demands for change in public welfare agencies led to the idea of separating the functions of money payments and services into two independent agencies. Utah's separation project was first undertaken by the Division of Family Services in 1969. In 1971 they received a two-year grant from the United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, under Title IX, Section 1110 of the Social Security Act to expedite the separation project. This series contains reports documenting the activities, production, and accomplishments of this project.
