Summary of Records

This series contains 3" x 5" pre-printed index cards with information about each individual buried in the cemetery. The cards provide for recording such information as the name of the deceased, birth, death and burial dates, place of birth, parents' names and birthplaces, undertaker, time of burial, type of burial, and exact grave location. While the series documents deaths as early as 1861, it is clear that many of individuals who died in the 1860's were originally buried elsewhere and then re-interred in the Logan City cemetery in the 1880's. Furthermore, this index card format was not initiated until sometime in the early 20th century, so information for the earlier burials must have come from headstones or another earlier record.
