Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains the official record of the proceedings of regularly scheduled, special and emergency council meetings. The minutes typically include the date, time, and place of meeting, names of members in attendance and those absent, a record of subjects discussed, statements of intent, and a record of any actions taken. Later minutes also include attachments related to issues being discussed in the meeting.
Research Note
The Territorial Legislature incorporated Fillmore City in 1852 and city council minutes would likely have been kept from that time forward. At the time the State Archives microfilmed the available minutes in 2015, no minutes from 1852-1895 were in the possession of the city recorder. The whereabouts of those early minutes is unknown.
