Summary of Records

This series contains scrapbooks compiled by the staff at the Central Utah Vocational School (later renamed the Utah Trade Technical Institute) in order to track issues and events of interest to the school. The first scrapbook contains a variety of clippings dating from 1944 to 1949 and covering such broad topics as the Central Utah Vocational School, the construction of the Geneva Steel plant, employment and training programs for returning war veterans, and budgets passed by the State Legislature. The later scrapbooks from 1951-1969 also cover a broad range of topic related in some way to the school and include some event programs and brochures, in addition to newspaper clippings. They contain materials related to school classes and programs, graduation exercises, construction of new buildings, and battles over funding.
