Summary of Records

The Utah Water and Power Board was established in 1947 and tasked with the responsibility of promoting the orderly and timely planning, conservation, development, utilization, and protection of Utah's water resources. The board was responsible for managing water resources in the state of Utah, as well as working with other state governments in the management of inter-state water sharing issues. The record series terminates at the same time the Utah Water and Power Board was replaced by the Utah Board of Water Resources (a regulatory board currently administered by the Utah Division of Water Resources).This series contains a variety of administrative records including unpublished reports, project reports, contracts, project outlines, and policy statements that show how the Utah Water and Power Board operated.
