Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains a blueprint copy of a map of Cedar City. The map was created by the city surveyor and accepted by the city council in 1902. It shows streets, blocks, lots, property owners, township and range sections, and an inset map of the city cemetery. Because it includes the city cemetery, this copy of the map was used by the cemetery sexton's office.
Arrangement

Custody History
The map in this series was reportedly given to the cemetery by the city engineer. It was used by cemetery staff in locating burial plots and reconciling changes in plot numbering. The original was transferred to the State Archives in May 2013 for preservation purposes and the Archives provided the cemetery with a paper and an electronic copy for reference.
