Scope and Content
This series contains two bound scrapbooks used to collect newspaper clippings related to issues of interest to Governor Leavitt and his staff. Both books contain newspaper clippings that range chronologically from 1994 to 1997. One book contains various articles related to topics such as public spending, the restoration of and design of new buildings (including the Governor's Mansion, the Capitol and the new courts complex), current legislation, and other current events. The other book contains articles regarding Salt Lake City's bid and preparation for the 2002 Winter Olympics. The book on general current events is only half way filled while the the book on the 2002 Winter Olympics is completely filled.
