This series contains a bound copy of the codified ordinances adopted by the Town Council in 1914 when the town was incorporated. The ordinances function as laws or statutes regulating such matters as town officers and their compensation, quarantine physicians, irrigation ditches, nuisances, dogs, general revenues, poll taxes, cemeteries, general licenses, justices of the peace, crimes and punishments, streets, and posting ordinances. Each ordinance typically includes legal definitions, the body of the ordinance, signatures of the Town Council president and clerk, and date of adoption. This series also includes an ordinance extending the corporate limits and defining the boundaries of the town dated from 1915.
