This series contains register books used by the Circuit Court to track actions in cases handled by the court. Each entry in the books typically includes the names of the plaintiff and defendant, a case number, and a list of each action taken in the case. In criminal cases the charge is also listed. Civil cases, small claims cases, and criminal cases each have their own section in the first two volumes. The third volume is split into three separate books, one for each type of case. The circuit courts operated from July 1978 to July 1996. At that point the courts were eliminated and the duties of the courts were transferred to the justice courts and the district courts. Those courts continued to use the small claims register and the criminal register until 2000.
