Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains a single volume used to record descriptions of the primary highways in the county. While most of the pre-printed pages in the book are blank, there are descriptions of six highways and mention of construction of a seventh. The descriptions include notes on the course or bearing and distance of each section of the road, along with some descriptive notes. The cover of the book is dated 1894, so the record was likely created soon after the formation of Carbon County as part of a survey to document existing highways in the county. It appears that a single additional note about construction of a new road was added in 1909.
