Scope and Content
This series contains books used to record the sale of property by the county treasurer for delinquent property taxes. Each book generally contains information about sales for a single year and was transferred to the recorder in compliance with state law requiring that the treasurer "transmit to the county recorder a certified record . . . showing all tax sales made by him for delinquent taxes of the preceding year" (Laws of the State of Utah, 1899, Ch. 7 Sec. 2). Information in the books changes over time, but may include such information as the name of the property owner, legal description of the property, information about unpaid taxes, date of the tax sale, name of the entity or person purchasing the property, and information about payment of back taxes to redeem the property.

Chronological by calendar year, thereunder numerical by property number.
Custody History
Beaver County transferred the records in this series dating from 1896-1998 to the State Archives in October 2020.
