Scope and Content
This series contains minutes recorded and approved by the Washington City Planning Commission. The commission's work is guided by state statute which instructs commission to prepare and recommend a general plan and amendments to the general plan; recommend zoning ordinances and maps, as well as amendments; administer provisions of the zoning ordinances; recommend subdivision regulations and amendments; recommend approval or denial of subdivision applications; advise the city council on related topics; recommend approval or denial of conditional use permits; and any other related activities as recommended by the city council and state statute. Minutes typically include an agenda, a copy of the public notice announcing the meeting, a list of those present and absent, the date and time of the meeting, the signature of the city recorder, and the city seal.
