Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains financial records kept by the city documenting transactions, spending, and disbursements. Several of the ledgers and notebooks are related to water accounts, while others track cash spending. Each ledger typically includes such information as the date and amount of a given transaction, the city fund or department associated with that transaction, and sometimes the purpose of the transaction. Generally, the ledgers are organized chronologically by date of transaction, though some have been further subdivided by account name or type of transaction.
