Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains four hand-drawn maps documenting areas in Tooele County. Two of the maps are identified as having been filed with the county recorder. One of the maps is a plat of the Farming and Hay Land of Tooele City, created by County Surveyor Charles Hermann in 1868. A second 1868 map shows a survey and subdivision around the E. T. Benson Mill and Adobe Rock. A third map, recorded in 1881, shows the streams in one of the canyons near Tooele and notes that all the water is claimed by the Tooele City Irrigation Company. A fourth map seems to show property near the southwest corner of Tooele City and identifies lots, streams and landowners.
