Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains reports of State Training School activities from the previous two years. Each report from the Board of Trustees is addressed to the Governor and Legislature. Sections include Trustees' Foreword, Superintendent's Report, explanations of activities, and statistics.
The first report cites the creation of the school by the Utah State Legislature in 1929 in response to a citizen petition with 35,000 signers. The Utah State Training School was governed by the Utah State Training School Commission created in the same act. The school currently operates as the Utah State Developmental Center.
