Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains the quarterly journal of the Utah State Hospital Professional staff called Provo Papers. The journal began in 1957 with the goal of distributing information and "scientific thought as it pertains to the State Hospital." The name was chosen both for alliteration and an intentional link to the Utah State Hospital, due to widespread interest in upgrading state hospitals at the time. Issues continued until 1976, which featured in October a special historical issue about of the institution and mental health treatment in Utah.
Gaps
The State Archives does not have a complete set if there were four issues for each year of this quarterly journal. Known gaps include one or more issues from 1962, 1964, 1970-1973.
