Summary of Records
Scope and Content
These records are official copies of executive orders issued by the Governor. Executive orders afford a method for reacting to and preparing a plan of action for sudden problems or changing events which require the Governor's prompt attention. Their issuance provides an established conventional means of responding to these events. Through the executive order, the Governor also creates mechanisms to implement the regulations and establish organizations to perform activities of the government in some specific way. A limited number of declarations, mostly concerning recognition of disaster responses, are included with executive orders here.
Research Note
There are no holdings for 2016-2021 as high quality paper with embossed seal and signature.,Executive Order Number 2015/001/EO was not transferred to the Archives, possibly because it was superseded by 2015/002/EO (which is itself a duplicate number for different orders a couple months apart).
