Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series consists of a printed pamphlet outlining the meaning and purpose of the Library-Gymnasium Movement. It contains historical context of bills passed by the Utah State Legislature for a mill tax (1907) followed by the creation and members of the Library-Gymnasium Commission itself (1909). The pamphlet continues with many fine photographs and descriptions of the problems that could be solved by these institutions, and plans to finance and build them throughout the state.
