Summary of Records

This series contains booklets published annually or biennially by the Utah Municipal League and later the Utah League of Cities and Towns (ULCT) as a reference source. The booklets provide information about various local governments, including dates of incorporation, list of city officials, websites, and contact information. The booklets include information about the ULCT, incorporated cities and towns, local festivals, counties, affiliated municipal associations, and special service districts. It appears that publication of a paper copy of the directory ceased after 2017.

Scope and Content

This series contains booklets published annually or biennially by the Utah Municipal League and later the Utah League of Cities and Towns (ULCT) as a reference source. Many local governments, as well as the State Archives used the publication to locate information about various local governments, including dates of incorporation, list of city officials, websites, and contact information. The booklets include information about the ULCT, incorporated cities and towns, local festivals, counties, affiliated municipal associations, and special service districts. It appears that publication of a paper copy of the directory ceased after 2017.

Gaps

Many of the the directories that presumably were published by the Utah Municipal League and the Utah League of Cities and Towns are missing in the holdings of the State Archives. The largest gap is between 1965 and 2003.
