Summary of Records
Scope and Content
Utah Folk Masters was a daylong educational folk festival presented annually by the Folk Arts Program at the Utah State Fair. The festival featured recipients of the Folk Arts Apprenticeship Grants and the Ethnic Arts Matching Grants. Apprenticeship pairs demonstrated their folk art, working together throughout the daytime hours, and an evening performance schedule featured folk music and ethnic dance. Audiences ranged from 3000 to 7000 annually. This series contains photo slides, negatives, and digital photographs of the festival, audio recordings, and as preparatory documents.
Materials in this series were assigned a project number by the Folk Arts Program, consisting of a three-letter code, creation year, a letter indicating format, and the numerical order of the materials.
