This series consists of drought situation reports, task force meeting minutes, Water Management Committee reports, committee correspondence, task assignments, and the Drought Task Force plan. These records document the functions of the Water Management Committee, which was formed in 1981 by Governor Matheson to prepare and respond to potential serious drought situations. The assessment phase was broken down into eight task forces, while a permanent standing council composed of representatives from six agencies was also formed.
