Schedule Description

This is an alphabetical index for oaths of office for companies incorporated to do business in Salt Lake County which was created by the Salt Lake County Clerk to facilitate access to Incorporation Case Files and Articles of Incorporation Record Books. The series provides the name of the corporation officer, date of the oath of office, office held, corporation number and name of corporation.

Notes

Incorporation records and indexes were first scheduled as permanent records in 1978. Permission to microfilm and destroy those records produced after 1896 was granted by the State Archivist, Jeff Johnson, January 3, 1995. The entire series was archivally processed by David Clark in April 1996. After microfilming was completed, the original indexes were destroyed. The records were microfilmed in March 2000 and the series updated by David Clark. In 2001, all copies were transferred to the Salt Lake County Archives which now provides exclusive access.
