Schedule Description
These are registration records of eligible voters including registration forms, absent and early voter registers, and register books. These records verify a subject's eligibility to vote by establishing his or her citizenship, age, identity, residency, signature, and other information required by statute.
Scope and Content
This series contains forms used to administer an oath to register individuals to vote in the election on 2 November 1909. The individual or "elector" swears or affirms that he/she is a citizen of the United States, is over 21 years old, has been a Utah resident for at least a year, a resident of Salt Lake County for at least four months, of Salt Lake City for sixty days, and a current resident of Election District 10. The oath is signed by the applicant and dated and signed by the registry agent for the election district. Additional information is also written on each form, including an address, which is likely the residence of the applicant; a place name, which appears to be the applicant's birthplace; and a number, which appears to be the applicant's age. All the oaths are dated 26 October 1909.
