Schedule Description

These books contain maps of the cemetery. They are used daily to locate specific grave sites. These books include index, plat, and lot pages. The cemetery may only have a single wall map which serves as a key to locating specific graves.

Scope and Content

This series contains maps of the Laketown Cemetery showing the layout of the cemetery, including sections, lots, roads, water lines, fences, and names of lot owners. The original maps are hand-drawn on mylar in ink and pencil.

Notes

The six maps in this series were digitized by the State Archives in November 2012 and the mylar copies were returned to the cemetery. Because this series is still active and information is being added to the maps over time, the digital copy represents a snapshot from a particular point in time.
