Ben Lomond Cemetery Maintenance District (Utah)

This series contains records of ledgers used to record payments for maintenance of burial plots at Ben Lomond Cemetery.

This series contains three ledger books used to record payments for the care of burial plots. The earliest book documents regular annual payments by plot owners to cover the care of their plot. The information in this book includes simply the name of the payer and the amount paid. The later books record payment for under a new system of "perpetual care" in which a single payment was made to cover plot care in perpetuity. These books included the name of the plot owner, a description of the plot, the name of the person paying for perpetual care, the date of payment, and the payment amount.
