Governor (1957-1965 : Clyde) Tarragona, Spain student album
This series contains a presentation album gifted from the Spanish Government and Spanish people in appreciation for the assistance provided to Spanish children through an American aid program. The album was reportedly prepared by teachers and students of the Tarragona province and was part of a larger program in which each of the 50 provinces in Spain presented a similar gift to a state governor in the United States Various schools in Tarragona apparently contributed pages for the book and each school highlighted different themes related to the culture, history, geography, economy, and people of the province. The album contains a wide variety of items, including maps, postcards, photographs, lace, and hand-painted scenes. The Reverend James G. Hunt, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Utah, presented the album to Governor Clyde on behalf of the Spanish Government on 24 May 1957.
