Abstract
Compiled Laws of Utah, 1876, p. 243 et seq. provides for the election in each county of a county school superintendent to oversee the activities of each school district created by the county commission and to interact with the state superintendent of public instruction. Each school district elected their own trustees. The office apparently ended with the creation of consolidated schools ca. 1915.
