Abstract

A compulsory school consolidation bill passed by the state legislature in the 1915 session dissolved local school districts and a single Emery County School district came into being, governed by an elected board and with a superintendent appointed by the board as the chief operating officer. The mission of the Emery County School District is to provide a comprehensive education that will prepare students to take a proactive and responsible role in an ever-changing world.
