Summary of Records

These reels contain the Governor's Emergency Drought Relief Committee minutes, statistics, expenditures, lists of approved projects, and lists of rejected projects.

Scope and Content

These reels contain the Governor's Emergency Drought Relief Committee minutes, statistics, expenditures, lists of approved projects, and lists of rejected projects. The minutes list the projects discussed during the meetings and the location, type, estimated cost, and approval status of each project. The statistics list the percentage of net encumbrances classified according to sources of funds and the type of work projects. The weekly time book is a ledger with amounts given to those working on the projects. Projects data describe the project and gives the location, application date, requested funds, granted funds, action date, completion date, and costs. Also included are lists of approved and rejected projects, summary of projects, and recapitulations of rejected and approved projects.

Processing Information

This series was initially identified as part of the State Land Board and processed by M. Call in November 1998. In July 2002, Michael Church identified the Governor's Emergency Drought Relief Committee as a subcommittee of the State Advisory Committee on Public Welfare and Emergency Relief and reprocessed this series as part of the Utah Emergency Relief Administration.

Indexes: An index to projects discussed in the committee meetings precedes the committee minutes. Projects are indexed by project number with reference to corresponding page numbers, covering from May 15, 1934 thru June 13, 1934.
