Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series is a copy of the account book from the Office of Indian Affairs for the years 1852-1857. Brigham Young was simultaneously appointed governor and superintendent of Indian affairs in Utah Territory by President Millard Fillmore. The book entries include date, purchases, voucher number, and amount paid for each individual account.
Research Note
The book is labeled 1852-1868, but entries end in 1857.

Custody History
A photocopy of this book was donated to the Utah State Archives by the Historian's Office of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which was subsequently filmed and destroyed. The original account book remains in the custody of the LDS Church Archives.
