Summary of Records
Scope and Content
This series contains a record of financial judgments rendered by the court and was used as a tool for tracking the debts owed and when they were paid. For each judgment the record typically includes such information as the name of the debtor, the name of the creditor, the type of judgment and the amount owed, the location where the actual judgment was recorded, and a place to note satisfaction of the judgment.

The loose pages that came to the State Archives in 2010 are not included on the microfilm.

Alphabetical by last name thereunder chronological by entry date until 1980. Beginning in 1980 chronological by entry date.

Custody History
The books in this series were transferred to the State Archives from the court in 2007. After being microfilmed, they were transferred to the regional repository at Southern Utah University in November 2009. The University Special Collections returned the books to the State Archives in October 2025.

These records were acquired from the creating agency through established retention schedules.
Processing Information
This series was archivally processed by Jim Kichas and Emily Gurr in May 2008 as part of a NHPRC grant project designed to preserve the historic records of Utah's Fifth District Courts. The finding aid was updated by Alan Barnett in November 2025 when the original books in the series were returned to the State Archives.
In 2010 loose pages from the judgment docket were found in the court and mailed to the State Archives. When the books stored at Southern Utah University were returned to the Archives, the pages were boxed with the books that corresponded chronologically and alphabetically.
