Scope and Content

This series contains a school attendance book for the Harrisville East School in Weber County. The book records the daily attendance of the students through the years 1888-1890 organized by school term. The book contains all of the names of the children attending school during that time period as well as their ages. The ledger also totals the number of days attended for each individual student and for the class collectively. A column for number of times tardy is also included as well as names of the teachers for the school. Although not used by Harrisville teachers, the ledger also contains sections for the records of term, and names of visitors. The attendance ledger was manufactured by E.E. White in Ohio. The front and back of the book contain instructions for usage as well as advertisements for other educational materials.
