University of Utah (Utah) Utonian, 1905-1981.

This series contains annual yearbooks documenting the history of the school for each school year. They were compiled by a student yearbook staff with the assistance of a faculty advisor. The yearbooks contain names and photographs of the faculty, staff, and student body. They also contain photographs depicting sports teams and school clubs, as well as athletic, cultural, academic and social activities. Many yearbooks include an index to all individuals pictured in the edition. The yearbook appears to have been published in 1905 under the name of the "Chronicle". By 1907 and continuing on until the end of publication in 1981, it was published annually under the title "Utonian". For a time, the yearbook was published by the junior class and was identified by the class year, even though the yearbook was published the year before the class was to graduate. In 1951 the yearbook began being identified by the year it was published.
