This series contains a book used to index unknown records. It was held by the district court, but the court clerk did not know what records it indexed. It apparently begins a little prior to 1930 and runs until about 1971. It lists names and case numbers, but investigation reveals that the names and case numbers do not correspond with civil, criminal, or probate cases handled by the court. Many of the names can be identified as residents of Tooele County or other places in Utah, but many appear to be people who lived out of state. The individuals are not juveniles, so it is not an index for the juvenile court. The majority of the names in the index are male and the number of cases indexed increased considerably over time. It could possibly be an index for justice court cases.
