District Court (Second District : Morgan County)

This series contains a record estate cases heard by the Morgan County Probate Court.

This series contains a bound volume used by the probate court to record actions taken in estate cases handled by the court. The book contains pre-printed forms for the standard actions in an estate case, including such documents as orders appointing administrators, administrator's bonds, letters of administration, and orders appointing appraisers. The book was also used by the 2nd District Court, after the Probate Court was dissolved in 1896. The records in the book are very similar to those found in probate record books created by the district court, but the documents are pre-printed and arranged by case in this book, rather than chronologically by filing date.
