This series contains files of materials related to development of the Great Salt Lake. City staff collected the materials as a way of keeping abreast of developments that might affect the city. The files include newspaper clippings dating from 1960 to 1966. The files also include reports and correspondence from Congressman Sherman Lloyd and Senator Frank Moss. Topics covered in the files include construction of a causeway from Syracuse to Antelope Island, development of Antelope Island, creation of a fresh water section in the lake, creation of a national monument or national park, and creation of a Great Salt Lake Authority.
