This series contains files maintained by the county attorney for various cases in which he was involved.

This series contains files maintained by county attorney C. E. Edwards for various cases in which he was involved. Most of the cases are criminal matters in which Edwards acted as prosecuting attorney, but there is at least one civil case in which he represented the county. It appears that only a few of the cases were actually heard in the district court. Some cases may have been from the justice courts or may not have ever come to trial. The files include court documents, correspondence, and notes made by the attorney. The documents are stored in court folders and have case numbers, but those numbers do not correspond with the numbers assigned by the court. The series also contains some "miscellaneous county cases" that are a mix of correspondence and other records from the county attorney's office.
